The New PivotalTracker

Our initial inspiration for TaskRail was PivotalTracker, a similar project management program aimed at smaller businesses. When we heard about their end-of-life, we knew the site would be sorely missed. So we set out to build a replacement for this key tool in the development space.

One of our biggest concerns with losing PivotalTracker was the loss of all our projects in the space. That's why we developed an import tool specifically to be compatible with exported PivotalTracker projects and tasks. You won't lose a thing moving to TaskRail!

As we built our own replacement in TaskRail, it grew beyond the initial idea into its own feature-rich app. While you can see the roots of PivotalTracker, we've grown beyond a mere copy with improvements both big and small in numerous areas.

We're a small team of just a handful of developers who each run their own small web development studio. We built TaskRail not just to our own specifications, but taking into account the feedback and requests of numerous clients we've helped in the past. While web development projects may be our primary use case, TaskRail can be utilized in a wide variety of industries.
